Fiber Glass Insulation

Johns Manville fiber glass insulation offers trusted performance and proven energy savings. Whether you’re building a new structure or retrofitting an existing building,
each of our insulation products is designed, tested and proven to provide maximum thermal and acoustical performance for the life of a building. We manufacture the only complete line of certified Formaldehyde-free™ fiber glass insulation, providing improved indoor air quality by reducing exposure to formaldehyde.

Faced Batts & Rolls

Faced batts and rolls are lightweight, naturally white thermal and acoustical fiber glass made of long, resilient glass fibers. In all Johns Manville faced batts and rolls, the fibers are bonded with a Formaldehyde-free™ binder, to promote better indoor air quality. The facing serves as an integral vapor retarder, reducing the potential for mold and mildew growth and making faced insulation an appropriate choice for external walls. JM faced batts and rolls come in a variety of R-values from R-11 to R-38.

• Availability: United States
• R-Values R-11–R-38
• Widths Wood Stud (15” & 23”) or Steel Stud (16” & 24”)
• Lengths Batts (48”, 93”, 96”, 105”) or Rolls (Up to 100')
• Thicknesses Varies. Engineered for maximum performance within the cavity.
Foil-Faced Batts

Ideal for moisture control in external walls, Johns Manville Foil-faced thermal and
acoustical insulation is available in R-values ranging from R-11 to R-38. Foil-faced
insulation is available in pre-cut batts for standard cavities.

• Availability: United States
• R-values R-11–R-30
• Widths Wood Stud (15” & 23”) or Attics (16" & 24")
• Lengths Batts (48” & 93”) or Rolls (22' & 32')
• Thicknesses Varies. Engineered for maximum performance within the cavity.
FSK-25 Faced Batts

Johns Manville FSK-25 faced batts are laminated with an FSK (foil-scrim-kraft) facing,
which enables the insulation to carry a fire hazard classification rating of 25/50 or less
per ASTM E 84. The FSK-25 facing also serves as an excellent vapor retarder and may
be left exposed where codes permit. The FSK-25 batts are a lightweight fire-resistant
thermal and acoustical fiber glass insulation made of long, resilient glass fibers bonded
with an acrylic thermosetting resin.

• Availability: United States
• Availability US
• R-Values R-11–R-38
• Widths 15", 16", 23", 24"
• Lengths 48", 93", 96"
Panel Deck FSK-25

Johns Manville Panel Deck FSK-25 faced thermal and acoustical fiber glass insulation
is made of long, resilient glass fibers bonded with an acrylic thermosetting binder.
The batts are laminated with FSK-25 (foil-scrim-kraft) which enables the insulation to
carry a fire hazard classification rating of 25/50 per ASTM E 84 and serves as an
excellent vapor retarder. Extra-wide tabs extend full length along both sides for specialty
applications. The reflective facing may be left exposed where codes permit.

• Availability: United States
• R-Values R-19, R-30
• Thicknesses 6.5", 10.25"
• Widths 23", 24"
• Lengths 24", 36", 48", 93"
Unfaced Batts & Rolls

Johns Manville unfaced building insulation is a lightweight, naturally white thermal and
acoustical fiber glass. It is made with Formaldehyde-free™ binder for better indoor air
quality. JM Unfaced Batts provide insulation in R-values from R-11 to R-38 and are also
effective in controlling unwanted noise in internal walls.

• Availability: United States, Canada
• R-Values R-11 - R-38 (R-8-R-40 CAN)
• Widths Wood Stud (15” & 23”) or Steel Stud (16” & 24”)
• Lengths Batts (48”, 93”, 96”, 105”) or Rolls (Up to 100')
• Thicknesses Varies. Engineered for maximum performance within the cavity
Poly-Encapsulated Building Insulation

Johns Manville Poly-Encapsulated Insulation is wrapped in plastic for a more comfortable
installation with less itch and dust. Its core is a naturally white, Formaldehyde-free™
fiber glass insulation with R-values up to R-38 and superior acoustic properties to reduce
sound transmission through interior and exterior walls, ceilings and floors.

AVAILABLE FORMS

Pre-cut batts – fit standard wall cavities and are faster to install than roll products.
Rolls – can be cut to fit any size wall cavity and installed in any part of a building – especially long unobstructed areas such as attics or crawl spaces.

SPECIFICATION COMPLIANCE

• ASTM C 665, Type II, Class A, Category 1 (R-25 is Category 2, not classified as a vapor   retarder)
• ASTM E 96 Permeability; Facer film - 0.5 Perms (does not apply to R-25 attic   insulation),
• Perforated Backer Film-25 Perms (25 Perms for both facer and backer film)
• UL File R3711
• ASTM E 84 Flame Spread 25 or less, Smoke Developed 50 or less
Insulation Boards

Johns Manville Insulation Boards are a series of semi-rigid or rigid thermal and
acoustical fiber glass insulating boards for custom curtain wall applications.
They are typically used when framing is not present, such as in steel framed buildings,
metal panel buildings and masonry or concrete structures. In faced, or unfaced versions,
they are thermally efficient (with R-values up to R-17.4), acoustically efficient, moisture
resistant, fire resistant and easy to handle.

• Availability: United States
• R-values R-4.21–R-13
• Thicknesses 1", 1.5", 2", 2.5", 3", 4"
• Sizes 24" x 48", 48” x 96”
• Facings FSK, Black, PSK (Special Order), Black Coated
Spray Foam Insulation

BSpray polyurethane foam (SPF) is an insulation innovation that provides superior
performance and advanced energy efficiency. It's so effective that thinner applications
can rival and exceed the performance of traditional insulation products.

Combining two liquid components at installation creates cellular spray foam that
expands and fully adheres to surfaces. The spray foam offers superior insulating
properties and effective air isolation. Spray foam insulation requires an ignition or
thermal barrier after installation to comply with International Building Code requirements.
All fire protective requirements detailed within Section 2603.4 of the IBC are mandatory.

No matter what climate you are building in or the level of performance required, Johns
Manville has a complete line of spray foam insulation to help improve the energy
efficiency, performance and comfort of a structure.

Corbond III SPF

• Availability: United States, Canada
• R-value R-21 (3" thickness), R-42 (6" thickness)
• Thicknesses May be applied in passes of uniform thickness from a minimum of a half   inch to a maximum of three inches.
Foam Sheathing Board Insulation

Foam sheathing board is the latest continuous insulation solution from Johns Manville,
made from a uniform closed-cell polyisocyanurate foam core. We offer three foam board
products that are lightweight, non-corrosive and easy to handle and cut.

With R-values up to R-25 and a thinner profile, foam board offers an efficient way to
dramatically increase the overall thermal efficiency of walls and roofs. Manufactured to
meet the latest environmental regulations, it works well with all other types of JM
high-performance commercial and residential products.

Foam board can be used in both new and retrofit construction, including interior and
exterior insulation, and roof decks. Its range of uses in walls includes masonry cavity
walls, below-grade basement walls, crawlspaces, framed walls (wood and metal),
pre-engineered metal buildings, cathedral and flat ceilings.
