#1A Zinc Expanded Corner Bead
Expanded flange corner bead for exterior corners

A greatly preferred all purpose exterior corner bead. Strong and economical with
multiple general use purposes. The wide expanded wing flanges are flexible and can
compensate for most irregular surfaces providing even grounds and straight corners.
The expanded steel near the nose of the corner bead provides multiple plastering and
stucco keys allowing for reinforcement and strength where it is needed the most.

Used to reinforce Portland cement stucco at external corners.


#66X Zinc Expanded Flange Casing Bead
Expanded flange casing bead or plaster stop


Used as a stucco/plaster stop to provide a screed edge and protective finish trim while
terminating plaster in a clear straight line at doors, windows, or other openings.
Also, recommended as an edge divider between plaster and other dissimilar materials.

#XJ15 Zinc Double-J Control Joint

#XJ15 Zinc Expanded Flange Control Joint is used to relieve stresses in large plastered
areas of walls, ceilings and stucco areas. This nearly inconspicuous expanded wing
control joint minimizes cracking and assures proper plaster and stucco thickness.
The #XJ15 enables plaster to key into the return lip to eliminate shrinkage separation.
Clean-up tape provided for a neatly finished job.


#40 Zinc Two-Piece Expansion Joint
Two-piece Zinc expansion joint

Zinc Expansion Joint #40 is a two-piece, slip joint that finishes butt ends of adjacent
panels in wide or tall walls and ceilings to allow for multi-directional movement.
Panels are attached to parallel studs through the expansion joint flanges, enabling the
finished surface to expand or contract naturally without cracking. #40 is ideal for joining
dissimilar wall types such as wood framing to CMU and at construction joints.
Adjustable expansion opening or reveal is 1/4" to 5/8". Additional weather shields should
be installed behind the joint to enhance the weather resistance of this system.

Zinc Control Joints
Resists corrosion on applications of plaster and stucco

A solid flange or wing zinc control joint that resists corrosion on interior and exterior
applications of plaster and stucco. The #38, #50 & #75, is used to relieve stresses in
large plastered areas of walls, ceilings and stucco areas. This nearly inconspicuous
solid wing control joint minimizes cracking and assures proper plaster and stucco
thickness. Clean up tape is provided for a neatly finished job.


#30 Corner Master™ Control Joint
Expanded flange inside corner control joint

#30 Corner Master™ Expansion/Contraction Control Joint (Double-V) is designed to
provide stress relief at plaster wall inside corner instersections. The Double-V expansion
joint absorbs movement due to expansion and contraction of plaster walls and controls
cracking. #30 Corner Master™ has expanded flanges preformed at 90° for a flush fit at
inside corners. This expansion/control joint is offered in ground heights of 1/2", 3/4" and
7/8", which aids plaster keying and results in a clean, straight finish. Manufactured from
galvanized steel for corrosion protection.

#7 1-3/8" Sill Screed
Exterior base sill screed system

Used with one inch foam on one coat plaster systems or in an exterior insulation & finish
system. Installed at the juncture of the mud-sill and the exterior concrete foundation,
to allow trapped moisture or water to drain to the exterior of the building. The #7 style
screed is manufactured in compliance with ASTM standards and has the minimum
requirement of 26 gauge G60 galvanized steel and a 3-1/2” solid nailing flange.

•Provides straight edge stops for applied plaster stucco and E.I.F.S.
•Offers exacting grounds and protective weeps.
•Meets F.H.A. requirements.

#7 Sill Screed
Exterior base sill screed system

Used with 7/8” three coat cement stucco systems. Installed at the juncture of the
mud-sill and the exterior concrete foundation, to allow trapped moister or water to drain
to the exterior of the building. The #7 style screed is manufactured in compliance with
ASTM standards and has the minimum requirement of 26 gauge G60 galvanized steel
and a 3-1/2” solid nailing flange.

•Provides straight edge stops for applied plaster stucco and E.I.F.S.
•Offers exacting grounds and protective weeps.
•Meets F.H.A. requirements.
•Conforms to ASTM C 1063.

1-3/8" J-Weep Low-Back
Used as a plaster or casing stop bead with stucco and E.I.F.S. Systems

1-3/8" J-Weep Low-Back (2 inch back flange) is commonly used as a plaster stop at the
top of doors and windows over traditional head flashings. J-Weep Low-Back is nail,
screw or staple-attached to the frame or sheathing, then foam insulation, cement board
or metal lath can be installed over it. In any case, the protruding ridge of the metal must
extend beyond the plane of overlaid materials to serve as a ground for the stucco or
E.I.F.S. application. Installed in conjunction with 1" rigid insulation associated with
one-coat plaster stucco systems, the 1-3/8" ground provides proper depth for plaster
keying. Galvanized for corrosion protection, it also is available with weep holes.

1-3/8" J-Weep with a 2" nailing flange should not be used as a foundation weep screed
for three-coat stucco applications. This casing or plaster stop bead should only be used
on approved one-coat systems.

The International Building Code (IBC)* requires that all weep screeds have a 3-1/2"
nailing flange, weep holes and a minimum thickness of 26-gauge steel. This product
does not conform to code-required work if used as a foundation weep.

3-1/2" J-Weep High-Back
Used as sill weep screed or at door and window opening

J-Weep High-Back Plaster Stop is a J-shaped square nosed trim manufactured from
26-gauge galvanized steel. The 1-3/8" ground is designed for use with 1" of foam, lath
and a one coat 3/8" proprietary stucco system. The foam will be placed over the drainage
holes to allow drainage and the high backed rear flange serves as the rear flashing which
is covered by the building paper to encourage drainage.

J-Weep High-Back Plaster Stop is provided in other grounds including, 3/8", 1/2", 3/4"
and 7/8" grounds for proprietary one coat and multi coat stucco systems with ES reports
that require this type of drainage mechanism to meet the requirements of those systems.

All of the products described in this section are not intended and should not be used in
lieu of a foundation weep screed as described in ASTM C1063 for three coat stucco
applications. These products should only be used with proprietary stucco systems.

Zinc Mini-Bead™ 800/900
Corner reinforcement

Zinc Mini-Bead™ 800/900 are fine-mesh corner beads used to provide corner
reinforcement for one-coat and two-coat veneer plaster systems. 1-1/4" wide fine-mesh
flanges are tapered along the outer edges to enhance veneer plaster concealment.
Mini-Bead™ 800 has 1/16" grounds for one-coat veneer plaster and 90 keys per linear
foot for excellent bonding and strong, secure corners. Mini-Bead™ 900 has 3/32"
grounds associated with two-coat veneer plaster systems.

Zinc Mini-Bead™ corner beads should be used in exterior finish systems.
Flange attachments can be accomplished by nailing, stapling or clinching.


#701A/#801A Zinc J-Trim
Provides clean, neat edge protection at gypsum panel terminations for one- and
two-coat veneer plaster finishes


Veneer trims 701A and 801A are J-shaped trims formed from galvanized steel to fit
standard 1/2" and 5/8" gypsum panel depths with grounds to accommodate veneer
finishes. These trims provide clean, neat edge protection for one- or two-coat veneer
plaster finishes at gypsum panel terminations to wall openings and wall or ceiling
intersections. 701A provides 3/32" grounds for two-coat veneers and 801A has 1/16"
grounds for onecoat veneer plaster.

Zinc veneer trims are the zinc equivalents of 701A and 801A with the added benefit of
providing ultimate corrosion protection for cement board and exterior applications.
These trims provide clean, neat edge protection at wall or ceiling intersections, or wall
terminations for one- and two-coat veneer plaster systems.

#701B/#801B Zinc L-Trim
Applied after panel installation to finish veneer plaster edges at wall terminations

Veneer trims 701B and 801B are L-shaped trims designed for use at junctions of veneer
gypsum base with rough concrete or masonry ceilings. Sized to fit 1/2" and 5/8" gypsum
plaster base, 701B provides 3/32" grounds for two-coat veneer, and 801B has 1/16"
grounds for one-coat veneer plaster. Available in standard length of 8' and 10'.

Zinc veneer trims are the zinc equivalents of 701B and 801B with the added benefit of
providing ultimate corrosion protection for exterior applications. Available in standard
length of 10'.

#4 Short Flange Corner Bead
Corner bead for radius or arch openings

An excellent alternative to wire arch beads when the strength of solid steel is desired at
a straight or radius corners. The #4 short flange corner bead is designed to allow one leg
to be snipped which permits bending without kinking. Primary use is for arches or radius
openings. (Available West Coast Only)


Wire Corner Reinforcement
Stronger exterior corners

A welded wire right angle assembly, affording a truer, stronger exterior corner that
reduces cracking in Portland cement plaster.

Bullnose, Stock-Aid and Arch-Aid are also available in stock 10' lengths.

A punched metal strip attached to the front edge of the cabinet is used in some
geographical areas as a screed and support for the countertop trim.


Bullnose Kerfed (CBBK)
Creates a rounded, paintable finish around door jambs and window trims

Kerfed bullnose has a distinctive shortened back flange allowing for insertion into
grooved door jambs and window trims. This feature provides for efficient, clean
installation, as well as the smooth round appearance associated with bullnose trims.
It is roll-formed from galvanized steel conforming to ASTM A 1047 for protection from
corrosion and added durability.

Metal J-Trim #400 (M400 Series)
Used as a finished edge for wallboard at door and window openings or when
gypsum panels meet dissimilar surfaces


Metal J-Trims are strong, reveal-type galvanized steel casings that provide maximum
protection and neat finished edges to drywall terminations around door and window
openings. Metal J-Trims also deliver a clean trim line at intersections or where gypsum
panels abut dissimilar surfaces such as columns and window mullions. Hemmed-edges
allow for quick installation and do not require joint compound for finishing.

•Requires no joint compound.

Metal U-Trim #200-A (M20A)
Used in conjunction with joint compound when a clean, finished edge is required

U-Trim, or Spackle J is used to provide maximum protection and clean finished edges on
gypsum panels around door and window openings and when wallboard abuts dissimilar
surfaces, such as suspended ceilings, beams, plaster, masonry and concrete.
U-Trim is easily installed by sliding trim over the edge of the board and nailing or
screwing through the knurled (long) flange. Installation is completed with application of
joint compound for a smooth ready-to-paint surface.

•Rugged steel construction.

Metal L-Trim #200-B (M20B)
Provides a clean finished edge for wallboard

Metal L-Trim is used to provide a clean finished edge at door and window openings or
when wallboard abuts dissimilar surfaces such as suspended ceilings, beams, plaster,
masonry and concrete. L-Trim is installed after the gypsum panels are already in place,
unlike mudable J, which must be installed during gypsum panel installation.
L-Trim is easily attached with screws or nails after the panels are in place. Installation is
completed with joint compound for a smooth ready-to-paint surface.

•Hemmed front flange for rigidity.
•Knurled, perforated flange enhances joint compound adhesion.
•Easy to attach and finish.

#093 Zinc Control Joint (ZNCJ)
Drywall or veneer plaster control joint

ClarkDietrich #093 Zinc Control Joint is applied between abutting gypsum panels, and
is used to relieve stresses of expansion and contraction of drywall and veneer plaster
systems in large ceiling and wall expanses over 30' in length. #093 Zinc Control Joint is
typically installed from door header to ceiling, from floor to ceiling in long partition runs,
and from wall-to-wall in large ceiling areas. Zinc Control Joints are manufactured from
high-quality pure zinc and can be used for interior or exterior applications.
The 1/4" by 7/16" opening is protected by plastic tape, which is removed after joint
compound or plaster has been applied and the finish is completed.

Note: Where fire and/or sound control are required, an approved sealant must be
installed behind the control joint. Consult construction documents for details of
construction for the control joint assembly.
